I had Whalen mount tires on 14" pickup rims back in February. I went to mount the tires and noticed a large amount of wheel weights on 3 of the 4 wheels. I decided to install wheels anyway, but immediately noticed a terrible vibration/shaking at 45mph. Took the truck back with less than 75 miles and asked them why the truck was shaking so bad. They took the wheels off to rebalance them and found 3 of the 4 wheels were bent. I asked why would they mount tires on bent wheels and the guy shrugged. I asked if they would buy back the tires they put on and sell me a set of 15" wheels and tires. He said they wouldn't buy them back, and when I said mounting tires on bent rims is a safety violation I was told "that's the way the cookie crumbles". Seriously? What happened to customer service?? And I was willing to spend more money with these guys. If they would be willing to work with me to correct this it might earn them a higher rating.
Thanks to Whalen Tire. Had a tire inflation notification on the dash, and stopped by Whalen Tire. They were kind enough to check and inflate my tires, and wouldn't charge me.
