1.) Carefully check all purchases from this location, many things on the shelf have been returned and placed back on the shelf without checking the contents.

Tired of second-hand appliances and purchases. Over the last three months we have had delivered some obviously used appliances. These were all purchased as new - not the damaged stuff in the back that they knock a few buck off of.

First the dishwasher. The machine had moldy water in it and the packaging was reinstalled wrong, and once running the severe door leak became apparent - must of been why it was returned. We didn't notice until we installed it a month after receiving it - my bad . We don't use it.

3.) Home Depot is just across the street. They have their problems but Bill doesn't work there.

We also decided to redo our small kitchen in the process and a couple of smaller projects to get it all done at once. From the start of the project Lowe's was horrible. They didn't coordinate the supplies and shipments correctly with the contractors, they didn't bother to verify the supplies when they came in, items were damaged, not what we ordered, wrong sizes, the Lowe's installation employees didn't do an initial checklist like they were supposed to, and coordination of projects was extremely disorganized causing major delays.

This is a location issue. The unfriendly employees, wait times in the checkout, understaffed departments seem to be unique to this store. One day the only checker was handling all the calls to the store and couldn't be bothered to put the store phone down while she was checking us out - crazy. We shop at other locations around the state and haven't experienced the same issues.

2.) Don't purchase appliances at this location. EVER!

It has been a complete nightmare. Lowe's management has constantly promised resolution, they promised it six times with no resolve. We keep seeing turnover and promises of the issue being fixed, but it still has not been fixed. We highly discourage using Lowe's in Helena Montana for any projects.

Oh yea - we also purchased a sink, in store, that we had to return because once we went to open the box to install the sink we found that it was carefully repackaged too - all the hardware was missing, instructions, etc. we returned to the store to find that there was only one other sink on the shelf that had significant damage to the box. The store was helpful however - they removed the hardware from the damaged box and allowed me to have it. Sorry for the folks that got the damaged box now missing the hardware! I bet their comments are on here somewhere!

Several months later a used washing machine was delivered (hair in the drum, water in the drum, schmoo in the cold water inlet, pine needles wedged under the metal on the back pane - we have no pine trees, also no instruction or installation packet). Was apparently returned by the previous customer because it shakes violently during spin. The machine was carefully leveled - we were able to download the missing installation instructions from Lowes website.

We started the project to make the bathroom ADA functional for me (Disabled Veteran) because of my back injury. I was having issues stepping over the the bathtub lip when I got out of the hospital due to a re-injury of an old Army injury. We wanted to make the bathroom a little bigger to widen the door for a walker, when needed. Remove the tub and just have a shower with a bench seat for access. We also wanted to improve the aesthetics in the process.

This is one of the best hardware stores in town. Way better than Power Townsend

So lesson learned. I dont have the energy to persue the $400.00 I spent on the washing machine, and it seems to be working well enough despite the scary spin cycle. Lowe's wins this time.

Lowes gets some stars because the guys that have been around to deliver these appliances have been cautious, friendly and respectful. Cheers to you guys. I should have been more careful to inspect these appliances before I accepted them, but none of the problems were visible on the surface. I kinda just trusted that I wouldn't get used appliances - they were all purchased as new.

Horrendous customer service. Managers don’t seem to care; terribly lazy and lackadaisical, top to bottom... trust me. I have spent 10’s of thousands of $’s in years past here, service has gone down hill considerably in last year. Service is everything and they have none of it. I will not be using this Lowes any longer.

Called the store about the washing machine and no one would pick up the paged call, apparently there were 4 "MOFs" on the floor (turns out that means managers on the floor). No one could be bothered to answer until "Bill" finally picked up at least 5 minutes later. The "MOF "Bill" was an unbelievable a## ho##! that shouldn't be dealing directly customers. I can see why they call them MOF's.

Every time we've gone this route we end up having to go in and get it ourselves. And they never 'make it right'.

Many deliveries have items missed, instructions not followed, etc etc

When the new appliances came they had upped the appliances to high end costing appliances and we quickly found out why the budget was inflated. It was our fault for not verifying the final purchase of appliances and to be honest by the time the appliances came we were so sick of the delays and problems we just wanted them done. The contractors Lowe's hired did well on most things except for the shower. The shower leaked through the wall and floor right from the get go. This project started last year around April 2016 and our shower issues are still going on today.

If you're shopping and picking up items, Great Store ! (although they should hire more people to serve/help customers)

We have filed seven requests for repair. The grout the contractor use failed several time cracking and breaking apart. The window seal job they did around the tile wasn't done properly and the water started pooling in the wall and came streaming out the outside of the house, through the wall, into the floor and into the basement.

If you're getting things delivered, THEY'RE AWFUL!!

Will go local from now on with big purchases.
